We are pleased to announce the formation of the South Asian
Medical Society (SAMS) at The University of Manchester.
SAMS is founded on the principle of uniting medical students
of South Asian origin, providing a professional and
supportive atmosphere for networking, scholastic
collaboration, and cultural celebration. We explicitly state
that this society is an inclusive organization.
While our founding mission is focused on the South Asian
community, membership and all activities are open to the
entire student body. Our primary focus is academic
enrichment. SAMS is dedicated to delivering high-yield,
regular teaching sessions that diverge from conventional
pedagogy.
Our objective is to furnish interactive,
clinically-pertinent instruction that complements the core
curriculum. This is delivered in conjunction with tailored
academic support systems intended to ensure all students can
achieve their full potential.
We look forward to offering weekly tutorials, formal
mentorship pairings, and a durable community network to
provide comprehensive support throughout your medical school
career.
